January 1st, 2010 - California is open for business
In a statement issued by Caltrans through their website,"the moratorium on issuing new Adopt-A-Highway Permits has been lifted. Due to the large backlog of Program Applications received during the past 18 months, new Adopt-A-Highway Permits will be processed accordingly."

It has been almost 18 months but as of January 1st, the Adopt A Highway program has been reopened to local businesses in the state of California. Never has the opportunity to get a sign in the state been better then it is today. California has more options for high traffic areas than ever before in its 20 year history of the Adopt A Highway program.

This is a wonderful opportunity for potential sponsors to get on board in a market that will quickly sell out! Prime areas are going quickly.
